My search for a more holistic lifestyle. I did my Aromatherapy Diploma with Neal’s Yard Remedies 9 years ago and haven’t looked back.

• What are the benefits of pregnancy massage?
Pregnancy massage can ease backache by identifying tight muscles and easing tension; especially lower backache from the increased weight of the baby and broadening of the hips.
The addition of essential oils to de-stress mind and body can calm anxiety and decrease stress hormones.
Essential oils and acupressure points help ease nausea, constipation and indigestion.
Massage encourages blood and lymph circulation and also helps reduce swelling.
• How safe is pregnancy massage/ What should you look out for?
Very safe, generally pregnancy massage is recommended from 12 weeks; but if you have received regular massages before you can continue safely. Not applicable for high risk pregnancies.
A qualified therapist who will know to avoid certain acupressure points in pregnancy and position you with bolsters to alleviate pressure on joints.
• What can mums expect from your sessions?
A consultation – medical and pregnancy history, covering your immediate concerns and areas to focus on in your treatment. A bespoke blend of essential oils. After care advice – stretches, aromatherapy for your pregnancy and labour.
